This 45-minute DVD will be especially helpful to new stewards as it shows the processing of a grievance, focusing on the steward-supervisor exchange. Both sides of the equation walk through their roles, with commentary explaining what they are, or are not, doing and the strategic reasons for their actions. The steward is shown interviewing the grievant in an absenteeism case, giving the viewer a sense of how to handle a difficult situation. This is meant as an introduction to grievance resolution, developed by one of the nation’s leading labor education programs. Includes 16 page DOWNLOADABLE PDF instructional booklet to assist in training.
